ABOUT STYL SOLUTIONS

STYL is seeking a Project Manager to manage the delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary projects within agreed time and budget constraints. The Project Manager will collaborate closely with clients and project members to determine and manage effective solutions that facilitate the delivery of the projects.

Key traits of a successful project manager include leadership, communication, problem-solving, organization, decision-making, adaptability, negotiation, risk management, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers and identifying new business/project opportunities
  • Understanding and satisfying customer needs, and improving the overall customer experience
  • Supporting sales and business development in tender submission and RFQ
  • Identifying needed resources to form, lead and manage the project team and ensuring its successful completion.
  • Ensuring proactive tracking of project scope, cost, schedule, risks, and quality
  • Ensuring on-budget, on-schedule, quality delivery of projects that meet business requirements
  • Collaborating with relevant team leads to estimate WBS items
  • Planning resources to ensure fair distribution of workload and consistent utilization of resources
  • Developing detailed project plans and tracking project progress actively
  • Providing timely escalation of Risks and Issues to Management and providing risk mitigation strategies
  • Managing communication with stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Ensuring project documentation is complete and up-to-date
  • Conducting and running steering committees and ensuring timely updates to project sponsors and stakeholders
  • Providing mentorship to team members and supporting their developmental growth
  • Negotiating with higher authorities, including customers, whenever necessary and mediating conflicts.

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent is required.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
  • Demonstrated working experience in project management, showcasing a strong understanding of the complete product life cycle process. Experience in a related industry is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft Project.
  • Exceptional project management skills and a comprehensive understanding of fundamental PM principles, including estimating and planning, risk management, status reporting, budget tracking, benefits analysis, stakeholder management and communication, and resource management. The candidate must be capable of applying these principles independently in complex scenarios.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude. The candidate must be capable of conveying complex issues concisely and accurately.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to cultivate productive working relationships and exert influence.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to build and sustain high-performing teams.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to thoroughly evaluate problems and reach logical conclusions.
  • Confidence and comfort in interacting with senior executives; the candidate must be able to provide well-reasoned analysis and communicate unpleasant news when necessary.
  • Credibility and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proactive approach to acquiring new skills and knowledge.
  • The ability to multitask and plan effectively while collaborating with a variety of project teams in a demanding and competitive environment.

Screening

Applications are shortlisted and reviewed. Suitable candidates undergo a brief phone screening to discuss their background, experiences, and career goals. This step ensures compatibility with our development orientation and culture. Screening calls typically occur 5-7 days after application submission. 

Technical Interview

Shortlisted candidates are invited for technical interviews, either in person or online. Applicants in Singapore may need to complete an Application Form before the interview. During the technical interview, candidates demonstrate their expertise, professional background, and problem-solving abilities. The interview lasts 1 to 1.5 hours. 

Culture-Fit Interview

Following the technical interview, candidates proceed to the culture-fit interview round, which focuses on alignment with our cultural values. This stage involves behavioral questions and lasts about 30 minutes. 

* Reference Check

Reference checks are conducted for security-related roles only. The team uses 1 to 3 contact details provided by the candidate, and the outcomes serve as references in the decision-making process. 

Final Decision

The team evaluates the applicant based on all information gathered. Candidates are informed of the results within 7 days after the final round, except in special cases. If not chosen, your information will be retained for 6 months for potential future opportunities. All applicants will receive a thank-you email acknowledging their interest and effort.
